When you book this service, I’ll read your manuscript closely from a reader’s perspective, paying attention to how the story unfolds on the page. My feedback focuses on structure, pacing, character arcs, emotional beats, and overall flow — with particular care given to tension, transformation, and emotional logic.
You’ll receive in-line comments directly in the manuscript, highlighting what’s already working beautifully while gently pointing out areas where greater clarity, impact, or cohesion could strengthen the story. My goal is never to overwhelm you, but to help your draft fall into place in a way that feels grounded, intentional, and true to what you’re trying to do.
Alongside the in-line feedback, you’ll also receive a developmental summary report that steps back from the page to look at the manuscript as a whole. This includes overall impressions, key strengths, and a small number of focused areas to explore during revision — a clear, manageable map rather than a long to-do list.
A 14-day support window is included, during which you’re welcome to ask follow-up questions or talk through any of the feedback. This is intended as clarification and support, not ongoing revision coaching.
Manuscript Development is also commonly known as developmental editing or a developmental read-through. This service is available for full manuscripts or partial reads. If you’re submitting a section rather than a complete draft, a brief synopsis is appreciated so I can read with proper context.
