Once booked, I read your manuscript carefully and prepare a detailed editorial letter rather than marking up the manuscript itself — showing where the story is already working, where it may be losing momentum or clarity, and where the revisions with the greatest impact are.
The goal is to support intentional revision instead of reactive line-by-line changes.

1. You Book Your Project
Best suited for complete or near-complete manuscripts. If you’re submitting a partial manuscript, including a short synopsis helps contextualise the feedback.
2. I Read & Prepare Your Letter
I read your manuscript carefully and prepare a detailed editorial letter rather than marking up the manuscript itself — keeping the focus on big-picture storytelling decisions so you can revise intentionally rather than reacting line-by-line.
3. Feedback & Follow-Up
After delivery, you’ll have a 14-day window to send follow-up questions by email to clarify the feedback. This service doesn’t include ongoing coaching or additional editing, though those are available separately.
On a deadline? Rush projects may be available depending on schedule, and may include an additional fee. For larger projects, the cost can be split into smaller monthly payments after the initial deposit — you’re always welcome to mention it when you enquire.

This service doesn’t include line edits, proofreading, or in-line manuscript comments.
What’s the difference between Manuscript Feedback and a Developmental Edit?
Manuscript Feedback provides high-level feedback in a detailed editorial letter that evaluates how your story is working overall. Developmental Editing goes deeper, with in-line comments throughout the manuscript alongside an editorial letter explaining the feedback. Think of Manuscript Feedback as a big-picture roadmap, and Developmental Editing as more detailed, scene-level guidance.
Is follow-up support included?
Yes. After you receive your feedback, you’ll have a 14-day support window where you’re welcome to ask clarifying questions by email. If you’d like more hands-on help turning the feedback into revision steps, Story Coaching is available as an optional next step.
Why do you require a non-refundable deposit?
The deposit secures dedicated time for your manuscript and allows me to plan my schedule thoughtfully. Writing timelines can shift, so if something unexpected comes up, I’m always happy to discuss rescheduling when possible. The remaining balance is due once the work is complete and before deliverables are sent.
